AI beauty
As image generators become more common, we wanted to test a simple prompt: What does AI think a “beautiful woman” looks like? Across models, the answers were strikingly similar.
We built a visual experiment that prompts multiple systems with the same request, then compares the results side by side — revealing how bias, aesthetics and training data shape the faces AI produces.
When prompted to generate a woman with a wide nose, the tools struggled to reflect the request. Across models, fewer than a quarter of portraits showed realistically wider features. Many images either ignored the instruction entirely or produced distorted, cartoon-like faces.
